Our Adrenal To Thyroid Energy Ratio
The energy ratio (Na/K) has a major effect on your emotions and your emotional outlook. If the ratio is too high, 5.0 or greater for a prolonged period of time, your mind will be preoccupied with the past more than the present. This is due to an imbalance between the mineralocorticoid glucocorticoid hormones which effect brain function.
If your Na/K ratio is far below 2.5 (1.25 or less), your mind will be preoccupied with the future. This is why people with an abnormal Na/K ratio, either too high or too low, often find it difficult to fully commit to themselves, work, or to other people. The levels of the minerals sodium (Na) and potassium (K) also have an effect on the intensity of the Na/K ratio. See Na/K psychological section.
